Optigard ant gel bait

Everyone is looking for the next best thing when it comes to ant control. Ant gel baits seem to the most popular and Optigard is no different. This bait is thicker and clear which is important to application. Very attractive to ants and seems to be getting good reviews so far.

Tried my free tube I received in the mail today. Odorous ants infesting a trailor. I drenched the outside and underneath with bifenthrin 2 weeks ago. Figured id use a tube of bait today and see if it will kill all the ants living in the walls.

This is the first ant bait I have used since OUTSMART.I haven't used them in 5 years. Most ant baits I have used it would take 5 gallon bucket per house to kill all the ants with baits alone.

I love how people say TERRO works for me. They don't realize the ants are just getting worse and worse and the terro is just keeping them out of the kitchen. Eventually they overun the house.

Follow up. After the 3rd call back I can conclude that if I had paid for my tube of bait I would want my money back. Its the same as all the other baits. Works fine on a small population But for large populations you will need a 5 gallon bucket of bait. No use to me .If the population is small any old spray will work fine.

At Hearts Pest Management, we use the bait often. It works very well, but again the problem may be the applicator rather than the product. You can't use baits in areas where you recently used a product with a strong residual activity, such as bifen, which has repellent activity that can last 2 months.

I just got some and so far I'm not impressed. The ants (Argentines) showed great interest for a short time (like an hour). Then they ignored it. Hopefully they took enough to get all the queens.
